WORKSHOPS
CENTRAL OTAGO AUTUMN COLOURS WORKSHOP
18th-22nd April 2019
In association New Zealand Photography Workshops and Ridgeline Adventures
Our Central Otago tour is programmed in for the month of April when the Autumn colours are at their best. With landscape photographer Rob Brown as your guide and utilising comfortable 4WD vehicles we will be able to take you into some of the most interesting and photogenic places of Central Otago.
We will base ourselves in Wanaka and there will be time during the evenings to download our photographs and work on post processing.
If you are arriving via Queenstown airport we can pick you up the day before and that evening your guide will meet with all participants to discuss the programme. See the itinerary for a list of recommended flights into Queenstown. The order of each days shoot may change due to weather, but we will go to all of these places on the itinerary. Subject to demand, we are also available all throughout April to run additional tours.
PRICE: $2,495 NZD
(includes 4 nights twin share accommodation and transport)

Note: Food is not included in the price and because of the sunset and sunrise times at this time of the year we may end up having meals at slightly odd times to make the most of the light. Accommodation is in shared apartments at the Distinction Wanaka. Single rooms are available for an extra $200 single room supplement. Each autumn tour requires a minimum of two participants to run.
DAY 1
The course starts with a short briefing on the next few days and a morning classroom session to get everyone up to speed before we explore some autumn locations around Wanaka. In the late afternoon we head out to the high country around Wanaka before an evening of post processing the days photographs.

DAY 2

A pre-dawn start sees us heading into the Nevis Valley for sunrise. We spend all day driving through the Nevis and finish with a sunset shoot around Alexander before heading back to Wanaka.
DAY 3
We head up into the autumn colours of Alexandra in the morning before finishing at a highland location in the Central Otago mountains. The landscape here is quite different to what we have experienced around Wanaka, and there is always the chance of being able to photograph New Zealand falcons at one the locations we choose for sunset.
DAY 4
After an early morning sunrise shoot around Wanaka, we spend some time reviewing photographs from the previous four days and work on some post processing techniques.
